Fidelity hands over flagship £2bn China fund as Wang exits

Martha Wang, manager of the £2.2bn Fidelity China Focus fund, is taking a career break, with Fidelity hiring BlackRock's Jing Ning to run its flagship China fund.

Wang, who has been running the fund since 2006 from the group's Hong Kong office, will be leaving at the end of October to pursue interests outside the industry. Ning (pictured) is joining Fidelity from BlackRock where she managed the $725m offshore BGF China fund. She joined the asset management giant in 2008 to launch the portfolio. Fidelity said there would be no change to the investment objective following the management change.
