Nomura director joins iShares as fixed income head

Nomura's Brett Olson has joined iShares in the newly-created position of head of fixed income for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

At Nomura, Olson was head of the EMEA team responsible for the sales of asset backed securities and the distribution of illiquid debt instruments. He has around 15 years of experience in structuring and marketing fixed income securities, having previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank and Lehman Brothers. In his new role, Olson will be responsible for product development, sales and capital markets teams, reporting to Tom Fekete, who recently joined iShares as head of product development for EMEA and David Heike, global head of fixed income.
