HSBC launches short duration high yield bond fund

HSBC Global Asset Management has launched a short duration high yield bond fund aimed at investors looking for protection from the threat of rising interest rates.

The HSBC GIF Global Short Duration High Yield Bond fund - domiciled in Luxembourg - is managed by Xavier Baraton, Global CIO for fixed income at the group. It has a wide geographic remit and the ability to invest across a range of asset classes, but will focus on minimising interest rate risk by buying bonds with durations of three-years or under.
