Are UK investors set for a dividend bonanza?

UK income investors could be in for a dividend windfall as sterling continues to slide against the dollar, analysts have suggested.

The pound has fallen 8.5% against the dollar since the start of the year, prompting UK equity analysts to up their forecasts for UK dividend growth in 2013 and beyond. Investment Week reported at the start of January that UK equity income funds were set to benefit from a slump in sterling, with internationally-focused businesses and dollar dividend payers the principal beneficiaries.
