FSA platform paper pushed back to end of April

The FSA now intends to publish its long-awaited final platform paper in Q2 2013, having originally planned to release final rules by the end of last year.

The drawing up of final rules is now expected to be assessed in a committee meeting on the third Thursday in Q2 (18 April), with the policy statement being published the next day or the following Monday. The publication of the policy statement, which will detail regulations for platforms in the post-RDR era, had previously been delayed from the end of last year. The FSA's consultation paper 12/12 was published in June 2012 and closed for responses three months later in September.
