Barings Asian equities head Ng exits

Colin Ng, head of Asian equities at Barings, has left the group to pursue other opportunities.

Ng, who ran the £63m Baring Eastern trust and the offshore Baring Asia Growth fund, has been replaced as head of Asian equities by Hyung Jin Lee. Lee, who has assumed management of both of Ng's portfolios, joined the group in 2004 and has run the £169m Baring Korea fund since 2007. Ng left Barings last month, having originally joined in January 2010 from MFC Global Investment Management to take over as Asian equity head.
