Alex Jeffrey has joined M&G’s real estate fund management arm PRUPIM as chief executive.
He was previously at MGPA, an independent private equity real estate investment advisory business, where he held various roles, including most recently global chief investment officer based in Singapore.
He takes up his post in July, reporting to Michael McLintock, chief executive of M&G. Jeffrey will also sit on the firm’s main board.
Martin Moore, managing director at PRUPIM, will become chairman of the real estate fund management business to ensure a smooth handover, and is set to retire after 2012.
McLintock said: “With an impressive record of leadership roles in the international real estate investment sector, Alex is extremely well qualified to lead the next phase of PRUPIM’s growth.”
PRUPIM has £15bn in assets under management, invested in properties across Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region.
