Skandia Investment Group have teamed up with Aspect Capital to launch a managed futures fund, targeted at high net worth individuals.
The Dublin-domiciled Skandia Global Futures fund will invest in commodity and financial futures contracts, which the group said will ensure the fund produces positive returns in both rising and falling markets.
Aspect Capital, specialists in managed futures investment strategies with $6bn in assets under management, are partnering Skandia for the launch.
The fund's investment strategy will mirror that used on Aspect Capital's institutional managed futures mandates.
Rob Williams, the group's chief sales and marketing officer, said: "From our discussions with fund buyers around the world, we believe that the Skandia Global Futures fund will meet the requirements of those investors who are keen to put their money into alternative investment strategies but via a fund that sits within the UCITS framework and with performance that is delivered by a provider they can trust."
The fund has an annual management fee of 2%.
