Polar Capital hires European long/short manager

Polar Capital has appointed Ton Tjia to establish a European Market Neutral franchise for the group.

Ton joins from Ratio Asset Management where he managed its $15m Ratio European Opportunities fund, which has now been transferred to Polar Capital. Ton will be joined by Bradley Reynolds, who also worked at Ratio. "Ton is one of the most experienced long/short European managers in the industry and has over 30 years of investment experience," said Tim Woolley, Polar chief executive.
