Parmenion has created a range of seven risk-graded multi-asset funds in collaboration with Frontier Investment Management.
The suite of risk adjusted portfolios, which will be available on the Parmenion platform, includes significant allocations to the IFDS Frontier MAP Balanced and the IFDS Frontier MAP Cautious funds.
These funds invest across a range of alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, commodities, managed liquidity, UK equity, commercial property, fixed interest, developed equities and emerging market equities.
The seven portfolios will also allocate to index trackers in a bid to keep costs down.
Managing partner at Parmenion Richard Mein said: "While traditionally these alternative asset classes are only available to large portfolios and institutional investors, this approach offers uncorrelated performance exposure to the mass market.
"We are therefore equipping IFAs with more options to take to their clients. Utilising a blend of funds offers risk adjusted portfolios which are suitable to a broad range of clients with diverse preferences to risk."
Andrew Cracknell, head of intermediary business at Frontier, added:
"Financial planners increasingly recognise the importance of properly diversified portfolios that can be accessed in a low cost and liquid manner.
"Wherever possible, we use index-trackers to deliver a return while keeping costs low," he said.
