Schroders has expanded its fixed income team after poaching Bob Jolly from UBS.
Jolly, who was head of global sovereign, currency and UK fixed income portfolio management at UBS Global Asset Management, has joined Schroders as head of global macro.
Prior to UBS Jolly spent two decades at Gartmore, finishing as head of currency and fixed income portfolio construction.
In his new role Jolly will also take on responsibility for a number of multi-sector portfolios, including sovereign and absolute return strategies, working in a ten man team.
Karl Dasher, global head of fixed income, said: "We are very pleased to bring someone of Bob's calibre to our team.
"Bob has more than two decades of quantifiable experience as a portfolio manager in the global fixed income and currency markets, and he has developed one of the more enviable and consistent track records through highly varied environments.
"His proven execution skills as well as his strategic sense of how to build and evolve a macro investment process complements our long-term strategy."
