Collins Stewart's Martin Turner has today joined MAM Funds as co-manager of Gervais William's Diverse Income trust.
Turner was formerly the head of small- and mid-cap equities at Collins Stewart.
Prior to joining Collins Stewart, Turner was head of small- and mid-cap sales at Merrill Lynch.
Williams, managing director at MAM Funds, said the appointment underlines the group's commitment to providing active managers who can add value for investors.
"As the credit boom of the last 25 years comes to an end, the added value delivered by active fund managers will become all the more important to investors," said Williams.
"At MAM we aim to excel at this challenge, and the scale of our ambition is underlined by the appointment of individuals of this calibre."
