Cazenove hires small-cap specialist following Pegrum exit

Cazenove has appointed John Warren from UBS to work alongside small and mid-cap manager Paul Marriage.

Warren will join Cazenove in September to work with Marriage on the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic fund, UK Smaller Companies fund and the Cazenove UK Dynamic Absolute Return hedge fund.

Marriage took sole charge of the Absolute UK Dynamic and Absolute Return funds after co-manager Neil Pegrum left for Soros Fund Management earlier this year.

Marriage says: "John Warren's small to mid-cap experience will be invaluable in our stock selection. He has been a consistent idea generator on both the long and short side at UBS."

Warren was previously director of UK mid and small-cap sales at UBS. He has also had stints at Investec Bank, Williams de Broe and HSBC.
