Aegon’s UK Equity fund has been upgraded to a 'AA' rating by Old Broad Street Research.
The £186.1m fund is managed by head of UK equity Stephen Adams and ranked top quartile over one, three and five years.
The upgrade means Aegon has three of its UK equity funds rated as 'AA', including the £221.3m Ethical Equity and £46.8m UK Opportunities portfolios, both managed by Audrey Ryan. It now has a total of 12 UK equity and fixed income retail funds rated ‘A' or higher by OBSR.
"This latest rating underlines the strength and consistency of performance of our UK equity team has delivered during one of the most traumatic economic times in a generation," Aegon head of retail fund sales Steve Kenny says.
"Stephen's UK Equity fund has posted first quartile performance for its investors over one three and five years and this latest rating is credit for such great consistency."
