PSigma Asset Management has added former Gartmore and Insight manager Eric Moore to its UK team.

The PSigma team, which is headed highly-regarded manager Bill Mott, also includes Neil Cumming, David Hallam and Niall Coyne.

Moore spent more than 10 years at Gartmore, co-managing the group's UK Growth fund. He also was at Insight for five years, running its UK Alpha product from September 2005 to the fund's closure earlier this year.

PSigma managing director Ian Chimes says as the group's assets have doubled in size to £1.2bn over the past year, it is always on the lookout to add top talent to the team.

"There is a lot of good talent out there and as we grow we will be looking to bring some new brains and new ideas to the boutique," he says.

"We have already got a strong experienced team and Eric adds to this. With his experience at two big firms in both retail and institutional markets, it is always attractive for us to build on this expertise."
