Insight's Black joins JOHCM as investment director

Insight head of equities Sandy Black has joined J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) as investment director.

Insight head of equities Sandy Black has joined J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) as investment director.

Black, who has also held the role of head of European equities at Deutsche Asset Management, replaces part-time investment director Vicky Hastings.

JOHCM says considerable growth in its institutional and retail business over the last 18 months has resulted in the position becoming a full-time role.

It says Hastings has no plans to move to another company and will continue to work with the firm over the next few months to help ease the transition.

"Sandy has a tremendous pedigree and we look forward to benefiting from his expertise," group chief executive Gavin Rochussen says. "We are most grateful to Vicky Hastings, who has brought rigour to the oversight process and has contributed to our success."
