Standard Life Investments (SLI) is to launch a closed-ended pan European property recovery vehicle in the coming months.
The SLI Property Recovery fund, to be managed by Will Fulton, and will aim to produce an annualised 12% return investing in commercial property across Europe and the UK.
"The fund has been specifically structured to provide professional investors with the opportunity to capitalise on our expectations for a recovery in property market returns," SLI investment director Barry MacLennan says.
"On a range of measures, we believe commercial property is currently attractively priced and we would expect it to be of particular interest to tax-exempt investors, for example via SIPP and SSAS products.
"We have already generated a strong track record in providing institutional investors with successful limited partnership investment solutions - take for example our €728.5m European Property Growth fund - so I have every confidence the advisory market will view this as a similarly exciting proposition."
The fund will be open for five years and has a minimum investment level of £50,000.
