Investors currently have a choice of five pub-based enterprise investment schemes (EIS). The deadline for investments in the Capital Pub Company 2, which is seeking to raise £10m, is 28 January 2005. The company focuses on buying and renovating local pubs in Greater London, and boosting revenues through measures such as staff incentives. The EIS will be managed under a contract with the original The Capital Pub Company plc and its founders, pub entrepreneurs David Bruce and Clive Watson, and will invest predominantly in freehold free-of-tie premises.
