While there are opportunities to be found across US manufacturers, the auto and aerospace manufacturers are currently looking strongest, according to fund managers. The aerospace and defence, steel and industrial machinery sectors all outperformed the S&P 500 index over the year to 8 November, while the construction and engineering, industrial conglomerates and automobile manufacturers all underperformed.
