Arch takes on five partners as part of Asia/ME expansion

Arch Financial Products has appointed five partners as part of its ongoing expansion into Asia and the Middle East.

Richard Rhodes joins as chief financial officer from Merrill Lynch where he held a similar role within its international banking division.

Guy Haward takes on the role of head of corporate and technology development. He was also formerly at Merrills working in the derivatives and FX division. He has held numerous other roles within derivatives technology.

Gianpaolo Potsios joins as partner with responsibilities including developing global placement and syndication capabilities for the group. He has previously worked for corporate advisory group Europa Partners and Citigroup as vice president of the investment bank's corporate finance group.

Alex Hartley becomes partner and compliance officer, joining from ODL Securities where he was partner and had responsibilities within the anti-money laundering division.

In the past he has worked for stockbroker Christows and West Merchant Bank.

Finally, Simon King becomes partner and head of real estate.
