Financial Partners International (FPI) and OFS Asia have agreed to merge to create one of the largest adviser firms in the offshore market. The two firms started due diligence a month ago to legally complete the merger. The firm will have 100 consultants and offices in eight countries. FPI, of which Sean Kelleher is the chairman, was formed in June 2002 through the merger of six Middle East and Asian advisory firms: Mondial (Dubai), PPI, Mondial (Hong Kong), Stirling MacGuire, Mondial (Malaysia) and PFS.
