Francis Ellison and Douglas Cairns have joined Threadneedle as senior investment specialists. Ellison joins to specialise in European equities after departing his head of UK institutional business development post at SEI. Before that, he worked at Jupiter and the Bank of Ireland and has 20 years of experience in the industry. Cairns will be working in Asia Pacific and emerging market equities and during his 15-year career has worked at Schroders specialising in UK equities for discretionary clients.
