Arch cru is to launch two joint venture Africa funds next year, with a particular focus on the agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
Both vehicles will be structured as offshore closed-ended investment companies, but retail versions with lower minimum investments are in the pipeline.
The Africa Private Markets Focus fund is a diversified portfolio investing in commercial crop production and infrastructure in less politically risky African countries such as Malawi.
It will be listed on the Channel Island stock exchange in January, and an onshore capital protected note will be launched later that month.
The second vehicle, the Africa Invest fund, will have a narrower remit, with more of a focus on agriculture. The Guernsey-domiciled fund will launch on 18 February, with a retail version available later in the month.
