Atlantis is adding a fourth China fund to its range which invests in smaller companies that are pre-IPO.
The China Star fund will be managed by Yang Liu, chairman of the group’s Hong Kong branch, and new recruits Donna Chan, Annie Kao and George Leung.
UP to 50% of the fund may be invested in unlisted securities, focusing on pre-IPOs and convertible bonds in privately-owned enterprises.
The fund is directed at institutional investors and carries a minimum investment of $2m which will be locked in for three years. There are no plans for a retail share class.
