Invesco's Barnett warns on UK earnings growth challenge

Invesco Perpetual's Mark Barnett speaks to Investment Week about new ideas, unquoted positions, and the outlook for UK equities.

Invesco Perpetual UK equities head Mark Barnett has been in charge of the firm’s flagship UK equity income funds since March 2014. Since taking over from predecessor Neil Woodford, Barnett has produced strong returns, despite having to contend with initial outflows.  The £13bn High Income fund and £7bn Income fund have each returned 15% since 6 March 2014, according to FE, compared with an average return of 8.2% for their peer group.
