Jason Pidcock’s Newton Asian Income fund has been one of the most popular strategies in the UK market over the last few years. The fund, which features in Investment Week’s Consistent 50 list of top performers, has grown rapidly as investors have increasingly looked further afield for yield, and now stands at £4.6bn in size, up from £2.5bn in 2012. Asian companies were not on income investors’ radars back in 2005 when the fund launched, but the region has since become more closely associated with dividend payouts, and other fund groups including Liontrust and Fidelity have also launch...
