Small-cap specialist Giles Hargreave of Hargreave Hale has a long track record of picking winners in the UK smaller companies space. The £317m Marlborough UK Micro-Cap Growth fund he co-manages with Guy Feld has returned 37.6% over the year to 21 February versus a sector average of 33.9%, according to Morningstar.
