Despite having an economy that continues to outpace that of many other countries, China's growth has slowed in recent years, raising concerns over the broader implications for investments.

The wider economy has taken a hit as real estate speculation has faded, in part due to the government taking steps to control rapidly rising house prices, along with an easing in the domination of traditional heavy industries.
