Among all the declarations voiced by US President Donald Trump, his position on environmental issues is one which has led many around the planet to worry.

Appointing Scott Pruitt, a climate change denialist, as the head of the Environmental Protection Agency only reinforced these concerns.  The President's 2012 tweet that climate change is a Chinese hoax brings us back to China. Indeed, a new US administration can change some climate commitments and policies, but will not change pollution levels in Beijing.  Environmental challenges and 'airpocalypse' episodes, with direct health consequences for the population, are the number one online discussion topics for 850 million Chinese active social media users.
