Many UK investors do not buy single country emerging markets, preferring global emerging market managers. Yet with uncertainty over China, Brazil and Russia, perhaps now is the time to reconsider India as a standalone investment.

India is the world's fastest growing economy: it took the country 60 years to become a $1trn economy, and it doubled to $2trn in just six years. Over the next six years India is forecast to double again, to $4trn, a milestone reached by only the US, China and Japan.
