Montanaro fund repositioned with income bias

Against a backdrop of dividend cuts for some of the sector's biggest payers, investors have been searching for ways to diversify this part of their portfolios and reduce concentration risk.

One fund that may prove useful in this area is the small- and mid-cap focused Montanaro European Income fund. Launched in March 2012, the fund is managed by George Cooke (pictured), who joined in July 2010 from his role as an analyst at Aon Benfield. The fund was previously known as the Montanaro Continental European Smaller Companies fund, but was repositioned in November 2015 with an income bias.
